Ace Golf Course consultant visits Kashmir Golf Course

Srinagar, Apr 1: Internationally renowned golf-course consultant David J. Brinkel – who is specialist in hands-on management and promotion of world-class playing surfaces – was on a two-day assessment visit to Kashmir Golf Course, which is being renovated by the J&K Bank under its CSR program.

David Brinkel was specifically invited by J&K Bank to assess the design and landscaping of the golf course and expressed satisfaction on the manner in which the bank has been able to accomplish this high-value project. Rating it as AAA (Triple A), he lauded the efforts that have gone in to the designing and execution of the golf course.

While interacting with the Chairman & CEO Parvez Ahmed, Brinkel reiterated that he was impressed by the way this golf course has been professionally handled by the bank under his tutelage.

Parvez Ahmed informed Brinkel that bank has taken keen interest in restoring the course to its pristine gloryas requested by the state government to undertake restoration of this heritage golf course under its CSR program.

The Chairman thanked David Brinkel for his assessment of the golf course.

The Bank has handled the renovation of this golf course in a highly professional manner, Brinkel said, adding that he was impressed with the materials used while carrying out the restoration work besides handling of drainage issues with due care.

The conspicuous features like greens and Tees have come up well and are at par with the world class standards elsewhere, he added.

Notably, J&K Bank has been involved in heritage preservation activities at many sites across the state of J&K and Kashmir Golf Course is one of such prestigious projects that the bank has undertaken.
