Srinagar: Senior Political leader Fayaz Ahmad Dar from central Kashmir’s Budgam district joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday with party president Mehbooba Mufti welcoming him into the party fold, a party spokesman said in a statement issued today.
According to the party spokesman, Dar has contested 2014 assembly elections from Budgam as a candidate of PDF and is known for the pro-people activities in his area, said the spokesman.
While welcoming Dar into the party, Mehbooba said that his joining will further strengthen the party in Budgam and will make PDP a vibrant force in central Kashmir once again.
