Srinagar, April 01: Department of physical education Islamia College Srinagar on Monday organized an intergroup Table Tennis Tournament for its students here at Islamia College T T Hall.
The tournament was inaugurated by the Convener College Sports Committee Prof. Shamim Ahmed Shamim along with other senior staff members of the college.
In the first match of the tournament ICS Oranges defeated ICS Yellows by 2:1 and in the second match ICS Blues overpowered challenge of ICS Reds to move to second round of the tournament with a 2:1 win.
The tournament is being organised under the observance of “punctuality week” in the J&K State Colleges and to ensure mass participation of students in sports and extracurricular activities.
