The letter further reads that immediate necessary action in the matter may be taken in the matter under intimation to this office.

As the encounter ended, a team of officials were on the job to sanitize the area; they have requested not to visit the said area to avoid any untoward incident.

Police has destroyed six live grenades from the debris at the gunfight site and marked the area with caution tape advising people not to venture the area. “A bomb disposal squad has been stationed at police post Chandoosa as well. We have suggested closing the schools to avoid any casualties,” the police official said.

There are five schools in the village which include a government higher secondary school (HSS) Bandi Payeen and four government middle schools in the area.

People of the area have demanded immediate sanitization of the area as people are visiting the area. “The police must clear the area from explosives to avoid causalities as people are visiting the area following the gunfight. The school students will also resume the schooling,” he added.
