Srinagar: A militant was killed during a gunfight with government forces in Mir Mohalla Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Thursday.
The encounter began after a joint team of Army’s 13RR, CRPF and SOG launched cordon around Mir Mohalla of Hajin after having credible input about the presence of some militants in the area.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected house the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter. One militant has been reportedly killed during the ongoing encounter with government forces.
