Police seeks help of general public to identify male dead body

Srinagar, March 16:  Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday sought the help of general public to identify a male dead body lying in the mortuary of PCR Kashmir.

In a statement issued here, a police spokesman said: “On 14-03-2019, Police Station Parimpora received information regarding an accident in which an unknown pedestrian was hit by a Tata mobile vehicle near Ansari Toyota Parimpora. The pedestrian later succumbed to his injuries at JVC hospital.”

“Accordingly, a case FIR No. 79/2019 was registered under relevant sections of law in Police Station Parimpora and efforts were made to search the legal heirs of the deceased but so far no one has turned up to claim the dead body,” the spokesman said.

“The dead body is lying in the mortuary of PCR Kashmir. If anybody has any information regarding the identity of the dead body, kindly contact Police Station Parimpora on 9596770558, 9596770883 or  Dial 100,” he added.
