Remembering the late Executive for his contribution in the Bank, Parvez Ahmed further added that  “Abdul Rashid was a God fearing, soft spoken, considerate human being, who always looked for what is good in every person and treated people without bias or prejudice. In  his demise we have lost a true friend and a well-wisher. However, his great values & principles are there to guide us, even though we will miss his noble presence.”

The chairman recalled professionalism in his conduct and demeanor. “He empathized with his subordinates, while his peers and seniors always found him to be someone to be relied upon in the hours of need,” said the chairman.

The chairman prayed: “May his soul rest in peace and may God give strength to his family to bear the irreparable loss.”

It is pertinent to mention that Abdul Rashid had joined the Bank in the year 1973 and superannuated as President in the year 2012. He held many positions in the bank during his career spanning over almost four decades.
