Srinagar, Feb 20: In the wake of reports of mob attacks and harassment of Kashmiris in various states, Hurriyat-M chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday said people of Kashmir will always uphold their tradition of ensuring safety to outsiders.
Taking to Twitter, Mirwaiz termed the attacks on Kashmiris in several parts of India as shameful.
While praying for the wellbeing of Kashmiris, Mirwaiz condemned the threats of boycott and expulsion of Kashmiri students.
“The attacks on Kashmiri students & traders in parts of India is shameful. Open threats of boycott & expulsion of students is condemnable. My prayers for the safety and wellbeing of all. People of Kashmir will always uphold our tradition of ensuring safety of outsiders at all cost,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
