Srinagar : Expressing anger and anguish over ‘hooliganism by miscreants of various right wing organizations at various places in Jammu city’, AIP president Er. Rasheed has urged law enforcing agencies and civil administration to ensure protection to all sections of people.

In a statement issued today Er. Rasheed said, “Nobody is celebrating killing of CRPF men in Pulwama attack and no one other than Kashmiris can feel the pain of bereaved families. However nothing lies in hands of Kashmiris and neither their words nor condemnations mean anything to those who matter and who can bring peace in the entire region,” Rasheed said.

Giving the incident a communal colour and using it as an excuse to create communal tension in Jammu city is condemnable and unacceptable, he said.

“How can dozens of vehicles be damaged and set to fire in presence of law enforcing agencies at various places in Jammu city and why is not Jammu administration doing enough to ensure that law and order is maintained in the entire city,” Rasheed said.

Er. Rasheed appealed all stake holders to show restraint and realize that violence is not any solution and “let all of us understand that wars are not won and animosity will help none.”
