Srinagar, Feb 14: The Ladakh Buddhist association (LBA) Zanskar has called for an agitation for a separate district and Assembly seat for the Zanaskar area.
A statement issued by LBA said a meeting was held by all the stakeholders from Zanskar at Rajindra Park, Jammu to discuss their way forward for achieving “long pending demands of Zanskar area.”
The meeting decided the committee would henceforth spearhead the movement for district and separate Assembly seat for Zanskar.
“This committee will be headed by the LBA Zanskar and it will work in coordination with all the other members of the committee,” the statement added.
