Srinagar: Ahead of the elections, the government on Wednesday ordered transfer and postings of at least 44 police officers.
In the major reshuffle of top cops, Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal has been posted as the new Srinagar police chief, said an order issued by the home department vide number 164 – Home of 2019 Dated 13 .02. 2019.
Haseeb has so far served as SP PD Handwara, District SP Kishtwar, District SP Baramulla, SSP CID SBK, SSP Traffic NHW, SSP Rajouri, AIG Welfare PHQ and SSP Vigilance Jammu.
SSP Srinagar Imtiyaz Ismail Parray who was SSP Srinagar has been transferred and posted as officer on special duty with Advisor to Governor Vijay Kumar.
Shailendra Kumar Mishra awaiting orders of posting in PHQ, is posted as Commandant IR 7th Battalion (Ambgrota) against an available vacancy.
Rahul Malik, SSP, Security, J&K is transferred and posted as SSP, Bandipora in place of Sheikh Zulfikar Azad.
