Rigzin Sampheal flags-off cultural carnival for Jammu Mahotsav- 2019

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 06:  Secretary Tourism & Floriculture Department, Rigzian Sampheal, today flagged-off the Cultural Carnival as precursor to Mega “Jammu Mahotsav-2019” today from Vivekanand Chowk, Jammu.

The purpose of organizing this event two days before commencing of Jammu Mahotsav was to sanitize the public and make it widely publicized for information of general masses in and around Jammu and requesting them to participate in this Mega event as part of the efforts being made by the Directorate of Tourism, Jammu to promote tourism in the region.

Being a Cultural Carnival, various teams of  folk singers, dancers, and the students from Government Girls Hr. Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi, Youth Hostel Association of India and Gandhi Global Family participated in the event.

This carnival passed through Raghunath Bazar-City Chowk-Super Bazar-Purani Mandi-Raj Tilak Road-Moti Bazar-Pacca Danga-Chowk Chabutra and culminated at Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex.

The students performed various cultural activities at Mubarak Mandi Complex to make this event more colorful and memorable.  Various Travel Trade Associations also participated in the event.

Om Prakash Bhagat, Director Tourism, Jammu, Shokat Mehmood, Joint Director Tourism, Jammu and other officers attended the event.
