DDC hands over 1st installment of Media Fellowship

RAJOURI MARCH 06: District Development Commissioner Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary handed over cheques of Rs 10000 each to 15 scribes as first installment of Media Fellowship in Development Administration 2017.

The scribes including Avinash Jasyal, Arif Qureshi, Shakti Paul Sharma, Emroz Suri, Umer Arshad, Imran Khan, Muneer Khan, Sahil Sharma, Jamsheed Malik, Tazeem Malik, Sushil Kumar Dutta, Sumit Bhargav, Madhur Gupta, Akhil Mahajan and Gagan Kohli have received the cheques from DDC in presence of Addl DC A S Chib, Addl DC Abdul Qayoom Mir, ACD Noor Alam, CPO A H Choudhary, DSWO Abdul Khabir and DIO Mohammad Shafait.

Pertinent to mention here that the district administration had selected 15 media persons under Media Fellowship Programme in Development Administration in month of August 2017 to study and report upon crucial sectors including tourism, disaster management, land resources, social welfare, health, rural sanitation, rural development, agriculture, horticulture and animal and Sheep Husbandry sectors, RTI Act Implementation and Public Service Delivery, reflecting therein the impact generated, loopholes and gaps in implementation of schemes and recommendations for improvement.

The DDC impressed upon the scribes to complete the fellowship in the stipulated time while ensuring quality of research work. He also directed the District Information Officer to initiate the process for 30 fellowships for 2018.
