JAMMU, FEBRUARY 01: Advisor to Governor, Kewal Kumar Sharma today said that the Governor’s Administration is making dedicated efforts to resolve the service related matters of the Government employees projected through Service Grievance Committee (SGC).

The Advisor was interacting with the Administrative Secretaries at a high Level meeting he convened   to review the implementation of recommendations and instructions passed to the departments by the Service Grievance Committee (SGC).

Headed by Advisor Sharma, the Committee has been constituted by the Governor to redress the service-related grievances of the government employees.

Members of the Committee, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Shaleen Kabra, Principal Secretary, Planning, Development, Monitoring & Grievances, Rohit Kansal and Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), Hilal Ahmad along with Commissioner Secretary, Forest, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Shahid Anayatullah, Secretary, PHE Farooq Ahmed Shah besides concerned senior functionaries and officers of Service Grievance cell attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the Advisor took stock of the action taken by the concerned departments and sought follow up on instructions passed with regard to the grievances put forth by the employees.

The Advisor said that the Service Grievance Committee is shouldered with the responsibility to resolve the issues related to service matters of the government employees and the departments should come up with practical solutions to the genuine issues projected by the employees through SGC.

The Advisor asked the Administrative Secretaries to take necessary steps after detailed deliberations on the service related matters. Financial implications, process and norms shall also be viewed by the concerned departments before making recommendations, the Advisor added.

It is pertinent to mention that during the maiden hearing of the Service Grievance Committee, over 300 government employees including 34 delegations and individuals turned up to register their service grievances with the committee.
