Srinagar: Kulgam police have arrested two gamblers in Qazigund area of district Kulgam.
Acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Station Qazigund raided a gambling spot near Damjan railway track and apprehended two gamblers who were identified as Farooq Ahmad Bhat, son of Late Sana Ullah and Mohd Irfan Khandai son of Mohd Shaban Khanday, both residents of Damjan Qazigund, a police spokesman said in a statement issued today.
Stake money of ₹ 6060 and gambling cards were recovered from the gambling site.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 05/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Qazigund and further investigation taken up, said the spokesman.
