Gulmarg, Jan 01: In order to facilitate and enhance the capability for prolonged training hours even during night for members of Army Ski Team and the servicemen undergoing training courses, a night skiing training facility, a first of its kind in India, has been established at High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS).

In a statement issued here, an Army spokesman said: “Maj Gen Atul Kaushik, Commandant HAWS flagged the beginning of the night skiing training on 31 December 2018. This training facility will enable the Army Ski Team athletes to practice during night as per actual competition conditions at International championships.”
