Championship sees participation of 12 top-ranked teams across India

Jammu, Jan 01: A spectacular closing ceremony of FEDERATION CUP 2018 was held at International Delhi Public School (IDPS) Sunjwan, Jammu on Tuesday.

The event was organized by J&K Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI), which is recognized by Indian Olympic Association (IOA) at International Delhi Public School (IDPS) Sunjwan, Jammu.

The event was supported by International Delhi Public School (IDPS) Sunjwan, Jammu.

In a statement issued here, a spokesman of the J&K Taekwondo Association said: “12 top ranked teams across the India participated in the said championship. All the top notch players from qualified states participated in the above mentioned event. The procedure for organizing the FEDEATION CUP 2018 was completely based on Pro-taekwondo events like ‘Grand slam’ super series and ‘World Grand Prix’. The event was designed and proposed by J&K Taekwondo Association.”

“On the closing ceremony of FEDERATION CUP 2018 one of the professional demonstration teams of India “Korean cultural team” showcased their demo skills. As expected, the closure show was an amazing and absolutely sparkling farewell party to year 2018. Many programs have been showcased by the school students. But the true stars were the athletes from 12 different teams who gave the very best of themselves in the championship from past three days. All the people who have visited the FEDERATION CUP 2018 have remarked on the excellent organization of the championship, with a particular focus on safety,” he said.

“On the said occasion of closing ceremony S.M. Bali (Joint Sec. Indian Olympic Association) joined as the chief guest, while as Amit Sharma (Director food and supply), Manjeet Singh Former Misister as Guest of Honour,” the spokesman added.

The spokesman further said: “S.M. Bali (Joint Sec. Indian Olympic Association) while felicitating the medalists congratulated all the athletes for winning medals and J&K Taekwondo Association for organizing the FEDERATION CUP 2018.”
