KULGAM, DECEMBER 28: To sensitize farmers about the safe and judicious use of pesticides and to reduce its risk, SKUAST- K today organised training Programmes here at Kakren, KB Pora and Mirhama villages.

The training Programmes were co-ordinated by Dr. Tariq Ahmad Sofi(Asst. Prof.) Division of Plant Pathology, SKUAST-Kashmir under National Council for Science and Technology Communication, DST, New Delhi funded project on pesticide risk reduction.

The experts of the SKUAST-K including Dr Gh. Hassan, Dr Hamidullah, Dr Shahid and Dr Shakoor (KVK-KULGAM) deliberated on the subject and the aspects of the apple production. The programme was attended by farmers and fruit growers of the area and   field staff of the Department of Horticulture.
