Srinagar, Dec 26: Police on Wednesday claimed to have unearthed a militant hideout during a search operation in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police source said that a hideout located in Badriwan forest area of Awantipora was busted by the government forces today morning.
The area is close to Beighpora, which is the native village of top Hizb commander RiyazNaikoo.
Earlier, reports said that the search operation was launched by a joint party of the Army, police and the CRPF following inputs about the presence of militants in the hideout.
