J&K beat Services in Junior National Volleyball

JAMMU, Dec 21: After losing the opening match, Jammu and Kashmir team bounced back with superb performance and won next match in the ongoing 45th Junior National Volleyball Championship being played at Chandigarh.

In the second match, J&K beat Services by 3-2 sets (25-23, 21-25, 24-26, 25-22, 18-16). Shair, Umar, Shabir and Rahul of J&K displayed their skills magnificently and dominated the show by blocking effective shots of opponent team professionally.

Earlier in the opening match, J&K lost to Uttarakhand by 3-0 sets (score 21-25, 23-25, 22-25).

As per the reports reaching here, placed in group-B, J& K boys shall now meet opponents from Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and Odisha in the league round.

The teams are accompanied by Mohinder Sharma as Manager and Mohd Tariq as Coach. They are confident that our team would strive hard to qualify the pool in the National Junior Volleyball Championship.

Patron-in-chief Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, Raj Daluja, President Sidharth Daluja, Chief Executive Officer Kuldip Magotra, Executive Vice President, H.S Gill, General Secretary, Vijay Kumar Magotra and Treasurer R.C Sharma and other office bearers sent their good wishes to J&K team, manager and coach for excellent performance in the match.

They also wished the boys for better performance in subsequent matches.
