One day exposure visit for 120 farmers organized

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 20: With a vision to build their entrepreneurial capacities, Director Agriculture Syed Altaf Ajaz Andrabi today flagged-off a group of 120 farmers of Srinagar district to Dachigam Fish Rearing Farm under Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA).

While interacting with the touring farmers and growers Director Agriculture urged them to take full advantage of the visit by interacting with experts to get latest knowledge and expertise about the innovative trends and techniques in the field of Agriculture.

Director emphasized upon the farmers for adopting integrated farming such as Area specific crops, Commercial Value Vegetables, Poultry, Animal Husbandry and Fish Rearing to increase their economic standards.

He said that the aim of these exposure visits, is to take farmers and growers to the actual place of demonstration so that they can become well equipped with the real time trends in the fast-changing global agricultural scenario.

On this occasion, Joint Director Inputs Deepak Kumar Kachroo, Dy. Director Central Amir Ud din Andrabi, Chief Agriculture officer Srinagar Waseem Ahmad Shah, District Officers, Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer, Subject Matter Specialists and other concerned officers were present.
