Baramulla, Dec 18: Four days after a young man from Boniyar Uri went missing, he was found hanging in Azadgunj Baramulla under mysterious circumstances.
A police spokesman said that 25-year-old Azim Nazir Khan, son of Nazir Ahmed Khan, resident of Arubua Boniyar was missing since December 14 from his working place at Azadgunj Baramulla where he was running a body building and fitness centre.
Police said his family had registered a missing report in Police Station Baramulla, following which police started searching for the missing person but could not trace him.
Police said Tuesday evening, his dead body was found in hanging with ceiling in a building in Azadgunj area.
Police spokesman said that circumstantial evidence and injury marks on body suggest prima facia that it is a case of homicide and accordingly a case of murder (under FIR No 207/2018) under section 302 RPC was registered in Police Station Baramulla.
Deadbody of the victim has been taken for post-mortem and investigation started, police said.
