Performance of Banks reviewed at DLRC meeting

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER14: To review the implementation of Central Sponsored Schemes (CSS) and take stock of deposits and advances for quarter ending September 2018, District Level Review Committee cum District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting of bankers and district officers of various Government Departments was held today here under the Chairmanship of Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan.

General Manager District Industries and Commerce, Suram Chand Sharma, Deputy Director Employment, Subash Dogra, Chief Horticulture Officer, Brij Vallabh Gupta, District Officer KVIB, Tilak Raj, AGM RBI, Satish Sharma LDM NABARD, LDM, Rajeshwar Gupta  Manohar Lal Cluster Head, J&K Bank, Rajesh Gupta and other district Officers attended the meeting.

Stressing on need for generating awareness about different poverty alleviation schemes of the government, the CPO exhorted upon the bankers to organize awareness camps with the involvement of block level officers especially in rural areas. He stressed for better coordination for achieving the fixed targets and their results on ground level.

Speaking at the meeting, AGM RBI asked the LDM to allot targets to all private banks. He also asked to form sub – committees for enhancing CD ratio in the district.

Threadbare  discussions were held on various issues including flow of credit to priority sector and weaker sections of society, Issuance of KCCs , Bank and sector wise achievements in lending to priority/Non priority sector under Annual Credit Plan 2018-19, Review performance of key areas related to deposits and advances, Finance to joint liability farming groups of Bhoomi heen Kissan, Financial inclusion plan of Udhampur district, Number of financial literacy programmes by the rural branches of banks during the quarter, Functioning of financial literacy counseling center, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the district,  doubling of farmers income by 2022, Master circular on KCC scheme, Seeding of Aadhar, Functional /Setting up of rural Self Employment Training Institute Udhampur during the meeting.
