Workshop of Master Resource Persons for conduct of Science Melas inaugurated at EDI

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 01: A 3-Day “State Level Workshop of Master Resource Persons for the conduct of Science Melas” was inaugurated today at Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) Pampore.

Director School Education Kashmir Dr G N Itoo, was the chief guest on the occasion. HOD Physics NIT Srinagar (Chairperson STA), Dr Seemin Rubab, Project Manager Vigyan Prasar DST Govt. of India, Dr Irfana Begum and Resource Persons Dr Narinder Kumar, Vikas Saini, Apoorva and Jyoti also attended the programme.

The workshop is organised by the Society for Promotion of Environmental Awareness in Kashmir (SPEAK) and Science Teachers Association J&K.

In the workshop, the participants shall gain first-hand knowledge about various fun-filled activities in various disciplines of science viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics etc.

Itoo expressed his pleasure that such a wonderful programme is being organized here. He also enumerated various initiatives taken up by the department of education towards education in general and science education in particular.

The Chairperson Science Teachers Association reiterated that Science Teachers Association is committed to bringing about a positive change vis-à-vis science education in the State. She asked the participants to come forward and play their role in popularisng Science subjects in the State.

The Chairperson and the executive members assured the audience that STA will continue to improve science education in the state by organizing similar programmes.
