The spokesman said that senior members of Majlis Shoora and other representatives participated in the protest march.

Addressing the gathering at Hyderpora, Hurriyat leader said that the policy of suppression and repression in Jammu and Kashmir has failed to yield any positive results for India, said the spokesman.

Meanwhile, scores of JKLF leaders and activists today staged separate protests at Sarai- Bala and Maisuma Srinagar against human rights violations in Kashmir, a JKLF spokesman said.

The spokesman said that JKLF leaders Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi and Noor Muhammad Kalwal addressed these protests and condemned the spree of killings and other oppressive acts of government.

A message from JKLF incarcerated chairman was also delivered to the protesters on this occasion, said the spokesman.

“The rulers are employing every weapon and tactic to suppress Kashmiri voices for freedom but they fail to understand that a nation that has resolved to gain freedom and right to self-determination cannot be suppressed by use of slaughter and oppressive measures,” said the message.

Meanwhile, incarcerated chairman has strongly condemned the arrest of JKLF vice chairman Sheikh Muhammad Afzal at Trehgam Kupwara today.
