Students from Tanghdar meet Rajasthan Governor

Srinagar: A group of 20 students from Jammu and Kashmir’s Tanghdar sector today met Rajasthan Governor  Kalayan Singh at Raj Bhavan Jaipur, as part of ‘Operation Sadbhavana’, an educational-cum-motivational tour conducted by the Army.

Governor Kalayan Singh appreciated the Army’s role in conducting such tours which would not only provide the students an opportunity to visit various places in the country but also inculcate a sense of national pride by witnessing the cultural and religious diversity of the country, an official release said.

He said such tours would go a long way in providing more exposure to the members of the ‘Sadbhavana’ team regarding the rich, vivid and vibrant heritage of the country.

Earlier, giving a brief description regarding the purpose of the tour officer in-charge of the tour said, the tour was aimed at generating better trust and goodwill among the local populace besides winning their hearts and minds.

During the tour, the students will visit important historical places and visit various industries to study the industrial set up there and also culturally rich cities like Delhi, Agra, Jaipur besides interacting with prominent dignitaries of the states, he added.
