DDC Budgam conducts surprise check of exam centers, health, education institutions

BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 15: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today conducted surprise checks of various examination centres and health and education institutions to take stock of the arrangements and facilities provided to the students and general public in Khansaheb Budgam.

The DDC was accompanied by SDM Khansaheb Samar Nayak, DEPO Budgam Farooq Ahmad Raina and Tehsildar Khansaheb Prince Noor.

During her inspection to various examination centres, the DDC took stock of various arrangements particularly heating and lighting facilities at all examination centres.

Stressing on the smooth and fair conduct of examination, the DDC directed concerned to ensure a peaceful atmosphere for the examinees.  She also directed the concerned to provide transport facilities to the students coming from far off places.

The DDC also visited the sub-district hospital Khansaheb to take stock of the health-related facilities being provided to the general public.

While inspecting various wards and different blocks of the hospital, the DDC stressed upon proper heating arrangements for the patients. She also interacted with patients to take the first-hand appraisal of facilities being provided at the hospital.

Emphasizing on hygiene and cleanliness, the DDC directed regular lifting of wastage from the hospital for its proper disposal.

Later the DDC also paid a visit to GDC Khansaheb and urged upon the teaching staff and subject-specific experts on conducting regular career counselling sessions for local students for their bright future in various sectors and fields.

As demanded by the College staff, the DDC assured that she would take up development of the college playground with JKYSS and develop it under Khelo India, programme.
