Baramulla, Nov 12: Refuting rumours about three stone-pelters attempting to commit suicide by consuming poison inside the lock-up of Baramulla Police Station, police on Monday said that trio got injured after they had a scuffle with each-other and that they are stable after being provided medical aid.

“They were actually involved in a physical brawl with each other, and were injured. But they were provided medical aid and are stable,” SSP Baramulla Imtiyaz Hussian said.

“Reports about some stone-pelter committing suicide inside lock-up in Baramulla Police Station is just a rumour,” he said, adding that these stone-pelters are locked up under proper remand from court. They have been given medical aid in District Hospital Baramulla and are stable,” said SSP.

The trio has been identified as Shanu, Idrees and Anees of Old town Baramulla.
