Chief education officer (CEO) Baramulla Abdul Ahad who is also holding charge of DIET Principal Baramulla decided to cancel both the papers and asked the examination staff to deposit the question papers in DIET office, Sopore, sources said.

“Today’s Kashmiri paper stands cancelled due to some technical errors. It is to avoid any confusion in attempting questions from Urdu and Kashmiri,” CEO Baramulla directed the teachers.

The Urdu paper which was scheduled tomorrow has also been cancelled, said an official.

But there was no word from the concerned authorities that who is going to compensate for the trauma and trouble that the young kids faced.
