Srinagar, 08 November, 2018: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and vice president Omar Abdullah have greeted people on the commencement of the Rabi ul Awal.

The duo said that the month of Rabi ul Awal marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the greatest humanitarian that ever walked on earth.

In his message Dr. Farooq prayed that the month advances peace and prosperity in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. “The Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) life is a continuous source of inspiration for the mankind. His detractors also referred to him as “the Truthful” (Al Sadiq) and “the Faithful,” he said

Party Vice President Omar Abdullah impressed upon the people to follow the path shown by the Prophet of Islam (PBUH). While greeting the people on the commencing of the month of Rabi ul Awal, Omar said that holy Prophet (PBUH) is the blessing for whole of mankind. “One who returned love for hatred,” he said.

Party senior leaders, legislators and functionaries have also greeted the people at the outset of the month of Rabi ul Awal.

Meanwhile party General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar on Thursday visited the Kalaspora Shrine and took stock of the Milad arrangement at the shrine.

Sagar impressed upon the authorities to ensure that the devotees doesn’t have to face any hitch during the blessed days.

General Secretary in his meeting with the officials from SMC, PDD, Health Department and Revenue at the shrine urged the need of maintaining glitch free electricity and water supply during the blessed month.

He implored upon the governor administration to ensure devotes all possible civic amenities, including transport, drinking water and uninterrupted electric supply.

He said that the incumbent governor administration should make sure that ample arrangements are put in place at Asaar e Sharief Hazratbal which witnesses a huge rush of devotees. He said that incumbent governor administration should also ensure unbridled and glitch free facilities at the shrines of Jinab Sahib Soura, Asar e Shareef Pinjura, Aham Shareef Bandipura, Kaba Margh, Makhama, Sheikh Rajab Sahib, Asar e Shareef Kushaan sahib and Asaar e Shareef Kalashpora.
