Srinagar, Nov 07: Government forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation in Mawer area of the north Kashmir’s Handwara town.
Reports said that a joint team of Army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off Audoora area of Mawer in Handwara.
The search operation in the area was going on, however, it was not immediately known whether the searches were launched following any inputs regarding the militants or it was a routine area domination operation.
