Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik today said that massacre of Lakhs of Muslims at Jammu on 6th November 1947 is an ugly blot on the face of humanity and the blackest day of our human history.

“The fascist mindset that carried out Jammu genocide in 1947 is even today busy in massacring Kashmiri youth without any remorse or regret,” Malik said in a statement issued here today.

JKLF chairman said that on this day in 1947 Lakhs of Jammu Muslims, driven out of their homes, were butchered by communal fascist forces patronized by the then dictator Mahraja and his queen.

“Jammu massacre in 1947 not only reminds us of the brutal and criminal face of fascism but also the criminal silence of the international community exposing its duplicity and double standards visa vise humans and humanity,” said Malik.

Meanwhile, in a separate statement chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Geelani termed the Jammu massacre of 1947 as the worst tragedy.

“All the areas of Jammu region witnessed the ugliest and most brutal human carnage and all streets and fields of Jammu region were flooded with blood and flesh of Muslims,” Geelani said.

“In these tiring and tragic moments for these helpless Muslims no helping hand came to their rescue. Although the tallest political personality of Kashmir was holding the authority and chair of administrator and all this butchery was being carried out under his glaring eyes but he was more concerned and worried about his own chair,” said Hurriyat chairman.

Paying rich tributes to the martyrs of Jammu, Hurriyat chairman said that this must be a unique piece of land where such a huge crop of human heads has been harvested by the hateful minds and their mentors.
