Ahtisham Bilal son of Bilal Ahmad, a17 year old student from Khanyar locality of old city, who is studying at a private university in Greater Noida, was reported missing since 26th of last month.

As far as the missing student’s family account is concerned, he had gone for an outing with his friends to New Delhi but did not return back to his hostel in the evening.

“We have no clues whether he was picked up by some security agency or he has been kidnapped. On October 28, he informed his father on phone that he is outing with his friends and will keep on sending his pictures wherever he goes,” said the aunt of missing student who identifies herself as Shabnum.

She said when his father again contacted him at 6pm on the fateful day; Ahtisham’s phone was switched off.

She said Ahtisham was last contacted by his cousin brother who also studies in New Delhi.

“He was last contacted by his cousin who also studies there, he had told him that he will board Metro and will be back till 8pm. Since then he never approached any of his family members nor do we have any information about him,” she added.

Bilal Ahmad, father of Ahtisham while crying aloud at Press Enclave appealed NCR police to help tracing his missing son.

“I request you to trace my son; his mother is seriously ill ever since Ahtisham went missing. He was often going for an outing with his friends on every Sunday and always returned on time,” said Bilal.

While negating the reports about his son being spotted in Sopore town, he said these reports are baseless and misleading.

“We have registered a missing case in Kashmir and New Delhi as well. Had he been in Kashmir, police would have informed us,” added he.
