SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 01: Secretary Social Welfare, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone visited Children’s Home, Markazi Falahi Itfaal (MFI) Kangan to take stock of the facilities provided to the inmates there.
He was accompanied by Director General Social Welfare Kashmir Rukhsana Gani District Child Protection Officer Sheik Aziz District Social Welfare Officer Bureeda and other concerned officials.
The Secretary interacted with the children at the home to get a first-hand feedback. He directed for expeditious completion of the construction of the compound wall of the home. He directed for preparation of a comprehensive plan for upgrading the home for increasing its capacity and supplementing the facilities to the inmates. Mission Director ICPS was directed to provide the required number of beds to the inmates within one month.
Further Director Social Welfare directed the officials to make available sports facilities for the inmates immediately. He said that arrangements for regular health check-up of the inmates shall be ensured by DSWO in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer of the district
