SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 01: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Mohammad Saleem today convened a meeting to review the working of education department in the district.

Among others the meeting was attended by, Executive Engineer of R&B, Chief Education Officer Shopian, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Shopian, all Zonal Education Officers and other concerned attended the meeting.

The ADDC impressed upon all the officers to take necessary steps for improving the ranking of the district in the education sector. He said that all the pending projects should be completed within the stipulated time frame. He also asked them to complete the fixed targets well in time and also stressed for judicious use of funds.

During the meeting, ADDC sought details from Chief Education Officer regarding the education scenario in the district and said the department should identify all the shortcomings in the schools and make every possible effort to rectify them as well.

On the occasion, the ADDC said that the Government had recently accorded sanction for the establishment of JK Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) for completion of unfunded and languishing infrastructure projects in the district which are the priority for the Governor’s administration.

The ADDC was also briefed about the implementation of various schemes in the district on which he directed concerned officers to make the effective implementation of all schemes in the district.
