DDC Kishtwar chairs Skill Mapping, Development Plan for Kiru HEP

KISHTWAR OCTOBER 31: District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today chaired a meeting regarding Skill Mapping and Development Plan for Project Affected Persons of Kiru Hydro Electric Project, (HEP) Kishtwar.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Kishtwar, Iman Din, ADC, Pawan Kumar Parihar, GM Keroo HEP, Virendar Salman, Chief Engineer Keero HEP, Komal Kumar, Manager Civil, RS Rana, DM Environment (CVPPL) Dr Ravi Sharma, Consultants from Jammu University, Prof Anil Raina and Prof Sanjay Sharma besides concerned district officers.

At the outset, a power point presentation was presented by Prof Anil Raina regarding the draft skill mapping and skill development plan for affected persons of the above said project.

A detailed discussion was held regarding the possible skill development areas and options keeping in view the existing education and technical skills of the project affected persons.

The scope of skill development through ITIs and other technical educational institutions besides Agriculture, Horticulture, Handicraft and other allied sectors was also discussed in detail.

During the meeting, it was decided that the draft skill development plan shall be circulated among all line departments for their necessary suggestions which shall be discussed in the next meeting for finalization of the plan for submission to the competent authority for necessary approval.

The DDC affirmed that the skill development plan shall be finalized and implemented in letter and spirit so as to ensure maximum possible benefits to the affected populace of the area.
