Protesters appealed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Swayam Prakash Pani, to get the case cracked.

“What would a minor girl end her life by consuming poison? She was murdered by the house-owner and his son who informed us that Insha has consumed poison. She was living there on rent for quite some time,” said Ghulam Mohammad Mir, uncle of the deceased girl.

A Class 8th student of Kashmir Valley School, Insha Qayoom Mir, daughter of Abdul Qayoom Mir of Surasyar Chadoora Budgam, according to her family was found dead in mysterious circumstances at her rented room in Humhama area on September 01, 2018.

Deceased’s uncle also alleged that the police have not provides them a copy of the postmortem report, which was conducted very next day of her “murder”.

Mir said the family is suspicious about the house-owner Shabir Ahmad and his son, who informed them about the incident.

“We cannot buy suicide theory until and unless police proves it. Why should we trust police which is yet to provide us a copy of postmortem report, thus forcing us to run from pillar to post to seek justice for our daughter?” he added.

He said the police before reaching to any conclusion must investigate the case from every possible angle and ensure there are no loopholes into the inquiry.

Protesters appealed the Governor and police administration to expose the killers involved in the “heinous murder” of their daughter.
