Srinagar, Oct 29: Police Monday arrested a man for allegedly raping his daughter in Kunzer area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police Station Kunzer received a written complaint from one Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat stating that his sister (name withheld) has been raped by his father Abdul Majid Bhat, a police spokesman said.
He said Bhat was arrested, and the statement of the victim and other witnesses was recorded and the girl was sent for a medical examination which prima facie confirmed rape.
Although police did not divulge the age of the victim, the spokesman said the girl was not a minor.
