DC Baramulla chairs Cross-LoC trade meet

BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 23: With an aim to strengthen the cross LOC trade through Uri and to ensure smooth and efficient transaction of business, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash today chaired a zero-point meeting at Kaman Post with the concerned trade authorities.

A comprehensive discussion was held to improve Cross LOC trade. It was decided that the traders meeting shall be organized on a quarterly basis besides sharing of traders list, which will help in streamlining the trade process.

On the occasion, DC stressed upon DG Travel and Trade Authority Tahir Hameed Malik for carrying out the trade process in a transparent manner. He said that scrutiny of trade associated vehicles should be strengthened so that all the hurdles confronting the way are eliminated.

It was also decided that a Common Facility Centre shall be established between the Custodians of Salamabad and Chakoti for boosting the trade process besides resolving trade issues in a hassle-free manner.

Director Industries Kashmir, Director Planning, SDM, Uri, Custodian Trade Facilitation Center and various other concerned were present on occasion.
