Man from Bihar reunited with family after 18 years: Police

Srinagar, Oct 20: Police on Saturday said they reunited a specially abled person with his family after a gap of almost 18 years.

A police spokesperson said Kupwara police after receiving a deaf and dumb person from Army, who had apprehended him at Meshri Behek, Machil area of Kupwara on September 11 this year, started a campaign on social media in order to reunite him with his family.

“After constant painstaking efforts and rigorous social media campaign which continued for more than a month, Kupwara police was successful in reuniting him with his family,” he said.

He added the said person hails from ward number 8 of Arana District Bihar and was handed over to his family today at police station Kupwara.
