Pulwama, Oct 11: A Special Police Officer (SPO) was shot at and injured by suspected militants in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district late Wednesday night.
A police official said that suspected militants barged into the house of SPO Bilal Ahmad Ganaie, son of Muhammad Maqbool Ganaie, around 11:45 pm in Karimabad village and fired upon him.
Ahmad suffered injuries in his right leg and was shifted to District Hospital Pulwama from where he was shifted to Srinagar’s Bones and Joints Hospital for specialised treatment, he said.
