Srinagar, Oct 09: Crime Branch (CB) Kashmir has filed a case against a Punjab job consultancy for duping another consultancy and aspirants on the pretext of providing jobs outside India.

An official spokesperson said the CB lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against a job consultancy — Blue Star Immigration Pvt. Ltd, Punjab — for duping the M/S Al-Jumeirah Consultancy and candidates on the pretext of providing jobs outside the country.

The spokesperson said a complaint was received from Shahid Iqbal Matoo and Suhail Mushtaq Mislee, partners of M/S Al-Jumeirah Consultancy situated at Habib Complex near National School Karan-Nagar, alleging therein that Gurpreet Singh and his wife Sandeep Kour (Director of Blue Star Immigration Pvt. Ltd.) Punjab cheated and duped the complainants of an amount of Rs 25 lakh on the pretext of providing visas and jobs to candidates outside the country.

“They provided visas which were fake and forged, thereby cheated them and grabbed their money,” the spokesman said.

“Subsequently, a preliminary enquiry was initiated in Crime Branch. During the course of enquiry it came to fore that Shahid Iqbal and Suhail Mushtaq are running a consultancy under the name and style of M/S Al-Jumeirah Consultancy at Karan Nagar, Srinagar, who approached Sandeep Kour, Director M/S Blue Star Immigration Pvt. Ltd. Mohali (Punnjab) for providing job and visas to 12 candidates and paid an amount of Rs 21,20,000 to the suspects,” he said.

The CB spokesperson said the money was transferred through different ICICI Bank account numbers provided by the suspects.

He said the company provided visas to 12 candidates. However, they turned out to be tourist visas.

“Only four candidates went to Georgia who remained there for 27 days and were forced to bear all the expenses of boarding and lodging but no job was provided to them and as such they returned to India after 27 days,” he said.

“It also came to fore that other four candidates — Omer Qadir, Aadil Nissar, Saqib Shakeel and Azhar Hameed — were sent to Singapore but they were detained at the Singapore Airport twice  and were deported back to India on account of insufficient travel, other required documents and fake bookings of hotels. These candidates were made to pay Rs 40,000 per candidate as fine at IGI Airport New Delhi,” he said.
