Srinagar, Oct 06: An army soldier was injured after a speeding vehicle hit him in Rawatpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday. A civilian travelling in the vehicle was also injured.
Reports said that a passenger cab (JK09-8620) was on way to Kupwara from Karnah when it hit an army soldier near Rawatpora, resulting in injuries to him and a person who was travelling in the vehicle.
A police official identified the injured civilian as Adil Hussain, son of Mohammad Hussain, resident of Mandi Karnah. However, the identity of injured soldier was not immediately known.
Both the injured were taken to a hospital for treatment. The soldier was, however, taken to an Army hospital for specialized treatment.
A police official said they have registered a case into the incident.
