Sopore: Azad Social Welfare Society Sopore, in collaboration with Koshur Kalakar a group of people doing Kashmiri comedy on YouTube, organized a blood donation camp at Sub District Hospital Sopore of North Kashmir on Friday.
Azad Social Welfare Society Sopore organised the event with full enthusiasm in which students of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) study centre participated and donated blood for the good cause.
“Around 40 students donated blood and it was helpful in educating the people about the benefits and its use in emergency conditions,” said Ab Rashid Sofi President of Azad Social Welfare Society Sopore
Besides volunteers, several members of Azad Social Welfare Society were present during the function. Block Medical Officer SDH Sopore and staff of Blood Bank Sopore also were present.
This Blood Bank was initiated by Abrar Hassan a Social Activist of North Kashmir who is also student of IGNOU and is studying Bachelors in Social Work from study centre Sopore.
