“Ensure timely sanctioning of credit loans to beneficiaries”

KARGIL, OCTOBER 06: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Vikas Kundal, today chaired District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to review the performance of banks and line departments for the 1st quarter ending June -2018 under District Credit Plan– 2018-19.

The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs 97.24 crore have been achieved in both the priority and non-priority sectors by all the existing Banks functioning in the district.

Representatives of State Bank of India, NABARD and Reserve Bank of India, Branch Heads of various Lead Banks and senior officers of district administration attended the meeting.

Threadbare discussion was held on implementation of Housing for All missions, performance under KCC scheme, financial literacy initiatives by rural branches of the bank, stand up India, progress under NRLM and NULM.

Taking stock of New Employment Generation Programme (NEGP), the Deputy Commissioner asked the Khadi and Village Industries Board to aware general public about various facets of the scheme.

Taking serious note of the slow progress of some Banks in achieving the fixed targets, the Deputy Commissioner asked them to work with added zeal to achieve the fixed targets both in priority and non-priority sectors. He also asked them to ensure timely sanctioning of credit loans under different schemes among the deserved beneficiaries. Besides, asked them to sanction loans within a stipulated time frame and strictly on the first-cum-first basis.

The DC said that there is a huge scope of promoting animal, sheep and poultry sectors in the district and directed the concerned authorities to sanction loans among the deserved well in time so that maximum lot is benefited.

The meeting also approved the minutes of the meetings of the previous District Consultative Committee.
