BHADARWAH OCTOBER 04: The two-day sports event held under the “sports for peace and development” a component of Khelo India initiative concluded here today.
Around 24 schools of Block Bhaderwah participated in the event and witnessed competitions in kho-kho, kabaddi and volleyball. In the finals played today, the under 17 kho-kho was won by A.V. Bhawan while HS Nagar and Model Secular School end up as second and third runner up.
The U 17 volleyball title was clinched by HS Manthala by beating HSS (boys) Bhaderwah in the final while HS NichlaThara stood at 3rd position.
Similarly, U17 kabaddi was won by HSS Bhalra. HS Athkhar Public School and HSS Sartingal end up with 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Likewise, U 19 kho-kho and Kabadi and Volleyball boy’s category finals were won by HSS boys by defeating HSS Bhalra and HSS Sartingal respectively teams.
ASP Bhaderwah was the Chief Guest at the valedictory function.
Other present were SDPO, Principal GHSS boys and ZPEO and other staff members.
The festival concluded with the distribution of prizes among the winner and runner up teams.
