Municipal Polls: Candidates fill nominations for Watergam, Kunzar

Watergam/Kunzar, Sep 27: Over 24 nominations were received here by Returning Officer (RO) Baramulla for Watergam and Kunzar Municipality Polls which is scheduled on 10th October.

Today was last date of filling of forms for Watergam and Kunzar Municipality Polls and candidates submitted their forms at Returning Officer Baramulla’s office.

Reports said for Watergam Municipality Polls 15 forms were disturbed in which 8 forms were received and submitted by Bharatiya Janata Party workers while other 7 forms were collected and submitted by independent candidates.

Sources said due to security threat candidates preferred to submit forms at Assistant Returning officer Baramulla instead of Returning officer Watergam.

Meanwhile in Kunzar Municipality total 9 forms were received and submitted at Municipality Committee Kunzar in presence of Returning officer Kunzar.

An official told Kashmir Images that 9 forms were collected from candidates in which five forms were submitted by independent candidates while four by Bharatiya Janata Party workers.

The scrutiny of nominations is on 28 September (Friday) while withdrawal of forms is 01 October, 2018. Polls are scheduled on 10 October 2018.
