Budgam: A fierce gunfight broke out in between the government forces and militants at Panzan area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.
Sources said the gun battle erupted today early morning; however, there were no reports of casualties so far.
Earlier, the militants fled from the house where they had been hiding and have reportedly shifted to a religious place. “We have called local elders to persuade the militants to come out of the religious place. There was a brief exchange of firing,” a senior police officer said.
Following the three encounters at three different districts, the internet services have snapped for the “precautionary measures”
