Srinagar, Sep 25: A man died and another was critically injured in a road accident in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district late last night.
A police official said that a car (PB02AL-5194) heading towards Naranag veered off the road near Pahilnar and rolled down into a gorge around 9pm last night.
One of the occupants, identified as Alam Rasool Khan (59) of Belu Wussan Kangan, died on the spot. Reports said the deceased was a fruit contractor.
The injured, identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Shah (45) of Fraw Kangan, was rushed to Sub District Hospital Kangan wherefrom he was referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
