DDC Kupwara reviews progress of works under aspirational programme

KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 25: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir here today chaired a meeting of officers of Education, Rural Development, PHE, PDD and other concerned departments here at DC Office Complex.

The meeting reviewed the progress achieved under TAD programme in the district. It was revealed that under the programme 322 different works were taken up in various schools of the district.

The meeting discussed threadbare the facilities being provided to the identified educational institutions which include drinking water, electricity and toilets.

It was given out that 90% of the target has been achieved so far under the programme, while as the rest of the works are smoothly progressing in these schools.

The DDC on the occasion stressed for achieving the 100% target within the shortest possible time frame for which he directed to speed up the pace of work. He impressed upon the officials to ensure use of quality material on the works besides resolving all the bottlenecks if any, so that all the identified schools are covered under the programme in the district.

The DDC constituted the Committee comprising of the officers of Education, Rural Development, Revenue, PHE and PDD for verification and reconciliation of the executed works. He asked officers not to leave any stone unturned to enhance aesthetics of schools.

Giving directions for providing drinking water facility to schools, he said that arrangements for groundwater should be made wherever required. He also directed for quality painting work on toilet exteriors and stressed for completion of finishing work within shortest possible time frame. The DDC impressed upon officers to resolve all issues of Mannigah area on priority and said that there should not be any kind of grievance from the people of the area.

Among others, JD Planning, Imtiyaz Ahmad besides CEO, ZEO’s, BDOs and other concerned attended the meeting.
